2018 Southern New England Heart Ball
Friday, October 12, 2018
The Southern New England Heart Ball helps to advance the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association, a mission that has impacted the lives of thousands of men, women and children throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Hosted at the magnificent Marble House in Newport, this signature black tie gala will welcome approximately 250 of our community’s medical professionals, corporate leaders and philanthropists. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by Russel Morin Fine Catering and Events, an auction, and dancing.
The Heart Ball celebrates our mission, donors, volunteers, and — most importantly — the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort. With the support from generous donors and volunteers, the Heart Ball has a tremendous impact on the fight against heart disease and stroke in a number of ways:
- Funding lifesaving research
- Raising awareness and funds to fight Congenital Heart Defects
- Advocating for mandatory critical Congenital Heart Defect screening
- Advocating for CPR education in schools
- Helping children and families understand the importance of good nutrition and being active
- Educating the community on how to identify a stroke and that it can happen at any age
